NORTH VALLEY CARING SERVICES
North Valley Caring Services (NVCS) is a nonprofit organization serving the residents in the Northeast San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. What began as a soup kitchen in 1978, has grown to become the largest single-site food distribution center in the San Fernando Valley, offering FREE programs and services to over 300,000 people a year experiencing food, housing, employment and economic insecurity. We are here in our community -- for our community. We CARE!

EVERY MILE IS A STEP CLOSER TO ENDING HUNGER!
3 out of 4 households in our community are missing meals. Children are going hungry. That's why NVCS' LA Marathon Team are taking to the streets to raise money and awareness to end hunger in the San Fernando Valley!
And, that's why we need your help to make sure EVERY runner succeeds at their fundraising goal.
Our goal is to raise $80,000 to keep NVCS going and growing in 2027 You can be a part of making that happen; register to run (or walk) the Big 5K, register to run the LA Marathon or Charity Challenge Half-Marathon, start a fundraiser, sponsor or donate. EVERY DOLLAR DONATED WILL BE MATCHED BY A GENEROUS FAMILY FOUNDATION UP TO $25,000.
