Family Fair: Held in conjunction with NVCS’ annual Bike-a-Thon, this spring fair offers families in the community information on available resources and services. Over 200 individuals attend each year. Thanksgiving Meal: As an extension of the Outreach Programs, NVCS offers a Thanksgiving Meal prepared on-site and serving approximately 250 people each year. Susana* immigrated to the US six years ago from Mexico City. Having no formal education, she was unable to obtain employment in Los Angeles. Her family struggled to depend solely on her husband’s income (as a baker at Vallarta Super Market), which was not enough to pay for their living expenses.
